Today, 1st September, 2015 Google has unveiled its new logo. For the first time in its 17 years of history, Google has chosen sans serif typeface called Product Sans. Though Google has kept its color sequence same, but this time they have gone for a softer color, bearing a resemblance to the logo of Google‘s parent company Alphabet Inc.
What are the objectives behind this Google logo makeover?
Earlier Google was targeting only one device – A Desktop PC. But over a period of time people started interacting with Google products through different platforms, apps and devices. Google has always been user friendly whether if its mobile phone, TV, a watch, the dashboard in our cars and even a desktop!
So the reason behind introducing this logo is to reflect “this reality and show you how the Google magic is working for you, even on the tiniest screens.”
